Pregnancy Week 32 Part 2

This is a video showing the TONS of baby clothes we've received from all our wonderful friends and other gifts. I also show our new baby furniture and how I'm choosing to organize everything for now.

MJH Home: Planning a Baby's Nursery
How to plan, design and layout a baby's nursery room practical and beautiful! Meg Stone from My jewish Home shows us the best 3 simple ideas that have a massive effect on decorating a wonderful room for your baby. To achieve a beautiful and clutter free space, it is important to think about these three key ideas: 1 00:20 . Theme - To create continuity in the room and balance the space with the rest of your house. It's great to think ahead, that's why I used cloud wallpaper, it's versatile so I won't be adhering wallpaper for a good few years! 2 01:34 Logical Storage and Practical Layout - Having things close to hand is very important when you have a baby. Being able to access a muslin, nappy or bottle when needed is essential so I recommend laying out the space practically and storing your items logically. 3. 05:08 Create a Calming Ambience Lighting, curtains and colour are vital for creating a calming ambience. My lights all have dimmers on them so when my baby needs feeding in the early hours he's soon back to sleep with dimmed lights.

  5. Very cool! We'll see what he ends up liking and then I can buy more. I like that we have a bit of a variety to try out.

  7. Thanks, I didn't know what else to do with all of the clothes we got as hand-me-downs. I've always been a big fan of those clear storage bins but now that I've bought IKEA bins I wish I'd gotten then from a higher quality place like Storables or even Costco. These ones don't shut without separate clips that are kind of a pain. Lesson learned.

  10. Ok, I'll keep that in mind, I have plenty of larger containers that will work for them. I don't have that specific attachment, thanks for the recommendation! And I'll look at that sling. We also just bought a more traditional front carrier backpack style that my husband likes. It's so nice to have a mommy who's already been through all of this, so thanks for the feedback!

  11. I know, there's more than I know what to do with but I know it will all come in handy. We also only put 0-3 months in the armoire and dresser, they barely fit! Good for you on being organized and done already, I'm still not there but working on it slowly. I'm so tired after work and often know I need to just sit and put my feet up. :)

  12. Hi, I just responded to this same question from you in a personal message but want to reiterate that it's so important for you to listen to your body when it comes to any post-partum exercise. Start slow by walking and when that starts to feel easy work in some core and stretching exercises. When this gets easier, then start doing weight training and more intense cardio. Oh, and I'm not a pilates instructor I'm a certified personal trainer with a prenatal and post partum certification.

  14. wow!! You guys definitely do not have to buy any more clothes, you're all set!!! I have the same baby book (1000 days)! Because of space, i had to separate my baby's clothes too. She only has 0-3 mos. outfits in her nursery, everything is all organized and packed away.

    Thanks for sharing =D

  15. Ur going to need a big container for the chewies/rattles/soothies/ lol Have u bought an attachment for your soothie yet? If not, do so! Target carries them, for the girls they make a flower, and for the boys it's like a snow/ice thing? I'm not sure. Try a baby k'tan sling/wrap.

  24. This was extremely helpful! Wanting desperately to have function over just looking pretty its important especially for first timers such as myself. Nesting phase is fun but also chaotic when your not sure what you need and don't need. Thanks for the information

  26. Actually I have! This type of cloud is called: Fair Weather Cumulus Clouds. They are more common in certain climates, so perhaps your region doesn't feature them very often. I recommend you google their name as some of the photos online are breathtaking. Thanks for watching my video!
